No, if the hub is unpowered I do not see the behaviour... interesting.Does the behaviour persist if the hub is not separately powered?
For context, this setup is a trial for a potential 20 seat lab deployment. The 500 will be driving some other equipment over USB and I need a powered hub. I'd also like to use a dual USB-C power adapter to power both the Pi 500 and hub so that everything is powered from one power brick. This will keep everything neat and tidy, maximise desk space and allow me to physically secure equipment to prevent theft.
I'm assuming the Pi Hub firmware is not open source and user upgradable. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
