On the build part of my problem the "No Compiler" error was initially being triggered by missing as (assembler) in /usr/bin
I fixed this by reinstalling binutils package but this just moved me on to missing ld (linker). The ld file exists in /usr/bin but is a link to aarch64-linux-gnu-ld This doesn't exist in /usr/bin and I can't find it on my system.
This is on a install of latest Raspberry Pi OS 64bit desktop with update and upgrade done. Only software installed is Kodi and tvheadend.
What am I missing?
