Oh, that's fine. I have a uart to usb bridge on the other side. Would I be able to access the usb2.0 port? If so, how would I enable it and what is the path?
Depends. Which side (UART or USB) will be connected to the Pi?
The very short guide to USB on the USB C port:
- Add the following to the end of /boot/firmware/config.txtfor peripheral (gadget/device) only mode or
Code:
[all]dtoverlay=dwc2for host only mode. OTG mode is not possible as the USB C connector lacks the required hardware.Code:
[all]dtoverlay=dwc2,dr_mode=host - Reboot
- For host mode treat as any other USB controller
- For device mode load the chosen module (e.g. g_serial) and use the provided devices as you would any other of that class.
A couple of non-UART examples. May not mention the Pi5 but configuration and behaviour is the same as on the 4B.

Expect power problems unless the device on the other end is a PD source with a 5A@5V mode.
