Seconded! When in doubt, buy Pi branded devices from official Pi resellers. It will save you endless grief.I think I find the reason. Any charger except the one design for pi will power it up easily. The quality of the charger is poor. about 1 month ago. I find pi has some problem. so I shut down it and put it aside. Just a few days ago, I spend some time on it and accidently damage eeprom. And now, the charger is completely broken and so does the ssd hat. They come from the same shop. I guess I have to pick a better eshop to buy some new staff. Thank u guys.A link to where you got your charger from.
What does the screen/monitor say? If you are using one.
The amount of problems on here that turn out to be down to dodgy power supplies is massive. It's a mystery to me why so many people bother with non standard power supplies when the official one is so cheap and reliable. Unless you have very specific power needs; e.g running on a 12v system like on a truck or boat; I don't see that it's worth the potential aggro.
