This is a box that gets a single HDMI signal and splits it to up to 4 HDMI displays. Your Pi will only see one display, but the external box will combine the 4 displays to form one big virtual screen. Do the same with the second HDMI on your Pi, and you have a monitor wall of 8 displays. Thats the purpose of this box.
