Well, it took a bit, life got in the way...
But the Pi is mounted and the webcam is strapped to the nearby exhaust PVC line.
Not straight... I'll crawl back down there and reorient the camera.
Hopefully I can get more a straight-on shot.
I'd been desperately trying to get ffmpeg to stream an image, but that hasn't worked so far.
For those who may know something to offer here:
ffmpeg -s 640x480 -i /dev/video0 -codec:v h264_v4l2m2m -b:v 8096k -an -r 30 -f flv rtmp://0.0.0.0/live/hvacstream
I was trying for either RTMP or RTSP, without audio.
I think that's streaming correctly, but I can't get VLC or anything to play it correctly.
This worked to collect the image you see below
fswebcam /var/www/html/zonecontroller1.jpg
