Thank you for all the help! I got it to work perfectly.
The X file to edit is called .xinitrc. I added the commands there, and made a duplicate in case it gets erased in an update.
As for the UI cutting off, the MoOde display UI is just a chromium tab that fits the auto dimension set by MoOde. The settings are also in the .xinitrc file and can be tweaked to "800x480" to fit the whole 7" display screen.
