Thanks, I didn't know that about the V2 display. However, all the changes I made to config.txt were made while I was trying to get the V1 display working because it didn't work with the stock Raspbian OS. I eventually tried the FKMS because it worked on an RPI 4 with the V1 Display.because the V2's display driver relies on KMS. So if you're changing it to FKMS (which is deprecated btw) it won't work...
I only tried vc4-fkms-v3d when it didn't work out of the box because it worked on the RPI 4 (with a Raspbian OS from last year).
FWIW, I have a coworker that was not able to get the Display(s) working either.
Finally, I thought maybe only the V2 Display is supported on the RPI 5 so I did a fresh OS install to the SD card and connected the V2 display. It didn't work on Display (DSI) Port 1 so I tried Display (DSI) port two, but it didn't work there either.
Right now I'm using an HDMI display which works fine, but I would really like to get the DSI displays working too.
