Remove the uSD from the Pi, connect HDMI display and power on.
Do you see a boot diagnostics screen? That one is rendered at a resolution which should be supported by and decent TV/Monitor (maybe not bx CCC displays that have HDMI interface boards which are hot according to spec).
Do you use anx kind of adapters on HDMI?
