Hi
>>I'm going to remove capacitor C20 and see if I can hack in 5 volts to VREG_IN
>> >>BTW all the chips involved are still alive and kicking
one trashed PICO 2 my side, removed C20 ok, exposed the bare copper on track ok then stuffed it all up. I think it is beyond my capabilities (too small), If someone can do it let us know how. OR is there another RP2350 board available with VREG_IN and maybe external CLOCK source broken out.
I'll just experiment with the software this weekend, I will probably go with the "power into TP-7" later on, I see someone pushed a RP2040 to 1Ghz. 1ns sample time,I might try it.
>>The hold up was my decision, not the regulator
good information, having WFI on both cores might work. I'n very green as far as SDK ect. your code disassembly, is it from the boot firmware regarding WFE?? would I be able to enable CPU 1 and put straight into WFI.
>>I'm trying to get more than 140 MB/s
32 bit wide?? 35M/s. 16 bit, 70MB/s. 8 bit 140MB/s. I would say possible only on Pi5 PIO, what length cable??
>>managed to get out the system clock at 600 MHz
is your source code available?? I get 600Mhz no problems on USB powered
>>I've overclocked the ADC, as well, beyond recognition, it's in another thread.
I found PICO 1 at 4Mb/s, is there one for PICO 2?? I see 96 clock count per sample, at 600Mhz 6.25Ms/s, I wonder if this would be possible??
I'll go out on a limb, again. VREG_IN can be max 5.5 volts, I reckon PICO 2 can be overclocked much higher than 600Mhz, somebody must have tested this, surely.
thanks Brian
