I've seen this message during some other testings but I didnot dig into it. A 1GB Pi4 is 42Eur -> not worth sending time in figuring out how to convince the Pi3 to use that crippeled resolution...
But the last command always ends with this error:So I'm at a loss here. I am probably missing this part "Switch back to X11". How is that done?Code:
xrandr: screen cannot be larger than 2048x2048 (desired size 3840x2160)
Alternately, how does one force the 4k @15Hz resolution at this more modern vc4 DRM driver?
I'm up and running again. Still interested if there are ways to achieve the 4k @ 15Hz with newer versions if RaspberryPi OS
use a fresh uSD with bookworm, try running below command. If that fails you could still try with a custom EDID but as Said: Not worth the effort
Code:
wlr-randr --output HDMI-A-1 --custom-mode 3840x2160@15HzStatistics: Posted by aBUGSworstnightmare — Thu May 29, 2025 5:14 am
