I'm trying to setup watchdog. My system journal reports:
jun 15 12:13:16 pcg.xs4all.nl watchdog[4894]: file: no file to check
jun 15 12:13:16 pcg.xs4all.nl watchdog[4894]: pidfile: no server process to check
jun 15 12:13:16 pcg.xs4all.nl watchdog[4894]: interface: no interface to check
jun 15 12:13:16 pcg.xs4all.nl watchdog[4894]: temperature: no sensors to check
jun 15 12:13:16 pcg.xs4all.nl watchdog[4894]: no test binary files
jun 15 12:13:16 pcg.xs4all.nl watchdog[4894]: no repair binary files
jun 15 12:13:16 pcg.xs4all.nl watchdog[4894]: error retry time-out = 60 seconds
jun 15 12:13:16 pcg.xs4all.nl watchdog[4894]: repair attempts = 1
jun 15 12:13:16 pcg.xs4all.nl watchdog[4894]: alive=[none] heartbeat=[none] to=root no_act=no force=no
jun 15 12:13:16 pcg.xs4all.nl systemd[1]: Started watchdog.service - watchdog daemon.
What does this line 'alive=[none] heartbeat=[none] to=root no_act=no force=no' mean?

I want to use both the hardware watchdog and the software watchdog, the latter if it adds value.
Does the line say it doesn't work with the hardware heartbeat?
