Because I am under UK jurisdiction I consider it a legally imposed "duty of care" obligation to point out such things.
I'll be honest; I also have concerns about other items in the same Magazine; the EEG project which doesn't appear to mention never connecting that to anything mains powered in any manner without appropriate isolation, and the DIY insulin pump, even if that does say "do not use" in a sidebar.
Anyway I have said all I need to, consider my backside sufficiently covered.
UK lawyers can work out who's at fault if a teenager 'learning' tries this and ends up in hospital, the house burns or worse.
