Hmmmmm, you are very tactfully saying I got off topic on using the "Linux vs Windows" software issue as my reason....
I guess I did.
1. So, I correct my above post by confirming: Yes, as to the RPi 5 being my desktop daily driver.
2. my Reason: Many years ago my hardware reason would have been the ability to access and use the GPIO pins, but I have long since performed all my wired projects with RP Pico W or RP Zero W. So, all I have left to submit as my hardware reason for the RPi 5 being my desktop daily driver is my loyalty to Raspberry Pi.
