One advantage of network boot is that you can easily change the root filesystem without having to swap SD cards. Well, it's still not easy, but at least there is no taking things apart and putting them back together. They currently have Raspberry Pi OS 64 bit on the NVMEs, plan is to pop one out at a time, take them to my desk and hook them up to the monitors and a MicroSD card load, and use Raspberry Pi Imager to stab Rocky Linux 10 on them.
Many times I thought RedHat would be a better base for Raspberry Pi OS. That's because the longer enterprise support cycle also works well with the long timeframes needed to develop and adopt educational materials.
