Troubleshooting • Re: Dead Micro SD Card?

Get another SD card. Put Raspberry Pi OS on it and boot up from it. Insert the original SD card into a reader and plug it into the Pi. Now you can see all the files on the original card.
I got my new microsd cards (3 cards of 64GB each).

I installed a 64 bit version of Raspbian on one of them using the Pi imager. Setup SSH and connected to the Pi.

I then put the "bricked microsd" in a USB reader and plugged it in the Pi. I used the command lsblk but I think it only detects the OS microsd.

I then removed the "bricked microsd" from the USB reader and put in one of these extra 64GB microsd I purchased and it seems that it was detected right away.

Unless it is something with the format type of the "bricked microsd" which was also an old Raspbian OS and wouldn't show up in lsblk ( i don't think it's the case), I guess I can say that the "bricked microsd" is truly a goner.

Thanks again yall
