Pi 4 8GB ram
I’m looking for some gentle pointers, I’m holding a car radio and everything was going swimmingly testing on a HDMI display but now moving to my waveshare DSI screen, i’m having issues getting it to work. the instructions get you to add text to config.txt but this doesn’t work. I have verified the screen works by installing their bookworm pre flashed image. I’m wondering if i need to do extra work to get the overlay to work on buster, so need an idea of where to go from here. it’s not in the overlays folder in boot, and when i add it out edit config txt the pi doesn’t boot and action light doesn’t show activity. it boots fine on hdmi and the DSI screen doesn’t even show any backlight or life.
