I am looking at options for small screens for a project I'm working on. The two that have crossed my path and are ideal candidates are both round displays - a 2.1" 480x480 display by New Haven, and a 1.75" 466x466 display by Viewe. These both seem to be compatible with the Raspberry Pi 5 using GPIO pins - but, unfortunately my pins are already in use.
I will be using this in a very compact set up (Essentially just a direct link to an Arducam HQ cam, with some buttons and an external data input through GPIO) and it will be used outdoors. The reason I have leaned towards these displays are:
- Compact size
- High resolution
- Fairly high brightness
- Low latency
- Great colour
I was hoping to find some input on how I could use one of these displays through the PI's HDMI or DPI connections. I don't need touch screen, and I can provide external power to the displays if needed. I hope to find either a compact board or adapter to use one of these displays, or a similar alternative.
