they've agreed to change the pcb to the one from DSI TOUCH C , which is stated to be natively supported on the kernel i was running originally, so we’ll see how that goes and ill update in future on any issues. i appreciate all the advice, thank you.
on a small second note do you recommend booting from a usb ssd source if the project will be repeatedly turned on and off 15 times a day max.
