Hi everyone,
I'm facing an issue with my Raspberry Pi 4 (model B) during the boot process. When I power it on, the green ACT LED blinks exactly 7 times repeatedly, which I found typically indicates a "kernel.img not found" error.
Based on online suggestions and forum threads, I tried the following steps:
Edited config.txt in the boot partition and added:
kernel=kernel8.img
enable_uart=1
I made sure that kernel8.img is present in the boot partition.
Made sure that kernel8.img is present in the boot partition.
Verified that the SD card is properly imaged and connected.
However, despite this, the Pi still won't boot, and the 7-blink pattern persists.
One thing I’m unsure about:
Is it possible this issue could have been caused by a sudden power on/off or power cut? Could that have corrupted any critical files or the SD card?
Has anyone faced a similar issue or have any suggestions on what else I can try to resolve this?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
"Has anyone faced a similar issue"
Yes.

You could try the official Diagnostic test mentioned in the responses there.
