I like it better when there is more information to work on. 8-)

Looking at OP's posting history, a search for "pico fido2 security key" brings up:

https://www.picokeys.com/

And maybe the download problem is thus:

https://www.picokeys.com/getting-started/

Since it is a fixed firmware, detecting the LED pin might be possible (I might charge the pin to 1 then see how long it takes to discharge, like what they do with PICs) because it won't interfere with other interfacing if there is nothing else connected, but then one needs to differentiate LEDs and RGB LEDs... well, I would probably stick to multiple firmware, build everything automatically. Can't be too hard with a bash script on a modern PC.

(Jokingly) It's OP's fault to want to support every board... ;) (More seriously) But if OP has got firmware downloads for every board, it might just be AI scraper bots, which often won't follow the robots rules on websites because they just want to slurp everything. I have one private website that has increased traffic due to scraper bots, and boy the scraper bots are really active these days :D .

[Edit] Yeah, github for picokeys by the OP is at:

https://github.com/polhenarejos/pico-fido
