Looking at robots, there is a huge difference in use and carrying capacity. I look forward to photos of the result.
My last look at a robot project was to carry a camera then I realized I would need stereo. Up the size. Then the Zero would not have the processing power so upgrade to Zero 2. 0.5 GB was not enough and I had a 2 GB Pi 4. Up the size. Bigger. Bigger. Bigger.
Or I could have the robot return to base for recharging more frequently. Smaller.
I am experimenting with different options on a test bench then will look for a robot platform to carry the result. Something of interest when you have your machine working would be to test the motor with different weights on the robot and report back the point where the motor heats up or slows down.
I am looking at something like the following with one on each wheel so the machine can turn on place. Back to bigger batteries for extra power.
