Thank you...I solved it with help...from..the Debian Forumyour only option is probably lxde, which is dead, replaced by lxqt
as i remember the x86 was 32bit only, they never did a 64bit version
whats the specs on your laptop
i'm running debian 13 with gnome on a 1.5ghz, 4-gb ram laptop 2 in 1
touchpad on mine does not work in linux, so i use the touch screen
suggest going with a standard desktop
