I would connect the green and white wires to the Pi, and the black and red wires to a separate 5V power supply to power the LEDs. Leave the other red wire disconnected.
Those LED strips can take a lot of current. More than the Pi can safely supply.
Just one point. Sometimes the 3.3V data signal from the Pi isn't quite high enough to drive those LEDs correctly (it really should be over 3.5V). If that is the case you may need a level shifter to boost that signal up to 5V.
People have reported that situation, but I've never needed the level shifter.
