I am not familiar with any specific Pi/Bosch tutorials - we certainly don't have any house. I'd be happy to produce a whitepaper or similar, but I do not have the knowledge base to do so or the time to investigate. I'll put something on my task list to remind me to try it out if I have time.
There was no indication from Bosch about any documentation changes. From our point of view, for the microcontrollers we do publish examples on how to interface with all sorts of sensors with I2C, SPI etc. For any sensors with comprehensive datasheets this is fine, it's those with closed source libraries where things get difficult.
