Hello,
I tried driving a stepper motor with my Raspberry Pi 3+. It worked fine at first, but then the chip burned out. I'm using a 12V 5A power supply, the stepper motor is rated for 2Amps, and the coil resistance is 1.1Ohm.
I contacted Adafruit customer service, and they recommended the Pololu. But now I'm confused about which stepper motor driver is suitable. I saw the A4988 online (https://www.oyostepper.com/goods-886-5P ... eprap.html). Is this one suitable?
I'm new to electronics, so I don't know what to look for when choosing these components.
Best wishes,
