Not sure what's gone wrong but there should be no need for 'make', 'nmake', neither Microsoft MSVC nor MinGW tools, it should be using 'ninja' which would usually be -Some context; I've installed the pico toolchain using the windows installer. Next, I followed the instructions in the 'Getting Started' guide, specifically 'Chapter 8. Creating your own Project'. I'm getting stuck on the part detailing build steps:
C:\Program Files\Raspberry Pi\Pico SDK v1.5.1\ninja\ninja.exe
Perhaps the issue is in following Chapter 8 which is for building on a Raspberry Pi, where Chapter 9.2 details the building under Windows steps ?
But that suggests you need "Build Tools for Visual Studio 2022" and the whole point of the official 'Windows Pico SDK v1.5.x installer' was to avoid needing those.
I don't know, it's utterly confusing, but I would put it down to the documentation being outdated. Maybe raise an issue against it.
