Yes. ffts do give them a good hammering.
The 3GHz Pi5 in my sig hovers around 73°C when running the same test.
I've no doubt I could get it a lot cooler than that if I sped the fan up by running it from a step-up converter, but I like to run this 12V fan at 5V for near-silent operation at all times.
