I managed to get it to work and got the playstore to work but i get an error when i try to install the rpi resizeI mean you would need to disable the DSI display option in the settings before booting to recovery. Basically only the original Raspberry Pi 7" v1 DSI display is supported for TWRP. I've added support for various DSI displays since (Raspberry Pi 5"/7" v2 & Waveshare DSI displays) and it's become very impractical to support them in recovery mode as well (you can consider TWRP as a separate mini-OS).I have a hdmi connected aswell but do i need to disconnect the touch display during this step?
You should get TWRP booted with HDMI display by commenting out 'dtoverlay=vc4-kms-dsi-ili9881-7inch' in /boot/config.txt.
