Raspberry Pi OS • (raspi-os) uninstalling pipewire breaks desktop

Hello ,

have installed latest RaspiOS based on Trixie

and right out of the gate uninstalled Pipewire&Pulseaudio for a clean audio experience;


noticed however that upon reboot the desktop is broken and i am greeted
by black screen and arrow only;
clicking mousebutton yields "reconfigure/exit" but nothing can be reconfigured or exited;


please advise on how to recover,
