I tried 2.0.0-rc3 yesterday and got a USB stick that boots to the coloured logo but then dies.
When I had a look at that USB stick on another raspberry today, I found that /bin/bash is missing. Which probably explains why it dies.
So I have to assume that the 64-bit with desktop version isn't complete.
Has anyone else seen that error? I've fixed it up by copying /bin/bash and by running rpi-update in a chroot.
