Networking and servers • Re: Security risk running Pi4 in 2025?

Again, a link to a document that states that wifi is even slightly carcinogenic would be helpful.
The way I see it, built-in WiFi and Bluetooth--even when turned off in software--increase the value of compromising a Pi. That's because it is possible for a virus to turn the radio back on, snoop the nearby access points and then move laterally.

Said another way, a Pi is located near to a high-value target also becomes a high-value target because of the built-in WiFi hardware.

This is, of course, not unique to a Pi and exactly why mobile phones are not generally allowed in high-security data centers and other facilities.
In other news, I now have the warning

Code:

** WARNING: connection is not using a post-quantum key exchange algorithm.** This session may be vulnerable to "store now, decrypt later" attacks.** The server may need to be upgraded. See https://openssh.com/pq.html
when logging in through secure shell to certain known to be out of date systems. Does anyone have an estimate of the danger? Is this the OpenBSD people being proactive or someone else?
