I am in California and I'm trying to manage a Pi in Florida. It is running "rpi 6.12.47+rpt-rpi-v8 #1 SMP PREEMPT Debian 1:6.12.47-1+rpt1~bookworm (2025-09-16) aarch64".

The last time it tried to install an update, my connection was interrupted. I don't know if the update completed nor why I lost connection. But it did successfully reboot after the update. I know it's running because it successfully runs an rsync job via cron daily and mails the output to me. But it will not respond to ping or ssh. nmap tells me there are no open ports. The Pi was my only access to its LAN.

Unfortunately, no one onsite has any clue how to handle the Pi. I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas on how I can regain access, short of asking to have the unit physically mailed to me.
