Roomba is one of many robot vacuum cleaners and is in the news because their Chinese made device cannot compete with the million other Chinese competitors. What is the intelligence required for a device like that? A Pi Zero 2? Bigger? Smaller?
The actual sensing is, according to some in the trade, a couple of sonar detectors. It might be less as it bumps into everything repeatedly as the device creates a map of multiple rooms plus cats, camels, children, chairs.
Less bumps next time. And it reports the map of your house to some foreign server with unknown security. An open source alternative would have known protection for your personal data.
The wheel drivers are not all that intelligent. Bump. Turn around. Vacuum on/off. Detect bag full. Battery low so recharge.
0.5 GB? less?
