If anyone is following this - I have abandoned trying to get RNDIS drivers loaded onto Win10.
I've just rebuilt an old PC with Linux Mint and will try through Linux.
But it strikes me that the Pi Zero - with no wi-fi capability - has limited application in today's wi-fi world. (I bought it initially to make a nature camera.)
