Apologies, managed to scope the I2S bus and realized i had I2S0_SDO going to DOUT of the codec and I2S0_SDI going to DIN when it should be the other way around. Swapped the signals around and am finally getting audio from Channel 1.
Channel 2 is yet to produce output with DAC input as source. However, it does an produce output when I set up an analog bypass in alsamixer and send an analog signal to ADC1, in that case then I do get an audible output.
