blender 2.79b did run nicely on raspberry pis. i guess it still would run if you find a build or build it yourself. later blender versions need unsupported opengl versions.

the newest blender versions have a vulkan backend so i had slight hopes.

unfortunately, when i build the current version and run ./blender --gpu-backend vulkan i get this message:

00:00.278 gpu.vulkan | WARNING Device [V3D 7.1.10.2] does not meet minimum requirements. Missing features are [multi viewport, dual source blending, multi draw indirect, shader draw parameters]
blender: extern/vulkan_memory_allocator/vk_mem_alloc.h:11119: void VmaAllocation_T::BlockAllocMap(): Assertion `IsMappingAllowed() && "Mapping is not allowed on this allocation! Please use one of the new VMA_ALLOCATION_CREATE_HOST_ACCESS_* flags when creating it."' failed.
Aborted

it's a bit disappointing. sounds pretty serious or does anyone think this can be worked around?
in my opinion the V3D GPU is raspberry pi's biggest weakness in the meantime. of course i know that a raspberry pi will never be a fast 3D workstation but it would be nice if you could work on simple scenes in software like blender. :)
