You don't even need a Pi5.
The original Tomahawk cruise missile used a TRW 16*16 multiplier that did 20 million multiplies a second and cost several hundred dollars, and changed the Cold War totally. We considered using it in a HP telecomms test instrument but each one would have needed a special export licence so dropped the idea.
The Pico2 clones have at least 20 times the performance for a few dollars from Chinese distributors so is more up to the job.
