As an alternative, in case helpful, found the (unverified) flatpak version (which is already complied for ARM64) appears to work well on Raspberry Pi OS using labwc.
I finally gave this flatpak version a try and as indicated ... it works !!!
Couldn't test everything yet, obviously, but main features seem to work very well and most importantly display is fine after selecting "OpenGL" in the preferences.
I was able to trim mp4 videos and export without re-encoding, transcode h264 to h265, add a logo with alpha blending to a video and export, re-encode and mux to MP4, MPEG-TS and MKV... All exported files being perfectly usable and conform to the requested settings.
So far, so good !!!
FYI : RPI5 with RaspiOS Desktop (Debian Trixie 13.3) - Fresh install with stock image from Imager 2.0.4
