Only the Pi500+ is not some sort of building; It comes with OS pre-installed, so similar to a MACmini, plug in power and attach HID (monitor) and it should work.

Before the Pi500 or Pi500+ started shipping, I bought a RPi CM 5 Lite (no eMMC) and an official RPi Development Kit. The only thing smaller would be a Pi500 or Pi500+ alomg with the Official RPi keyboard and mouse.

Comments

• The RPi Development Kit housing only has 2 USB-A ports
• The official RPi keyboard is cute, but the space bar sucks !!!!
• IMHO, RPi OS (Trixie based on Debian) is NOT ready for "prime time"
  • Simple things, like adding an icon to Taskbar/Launcher are NOT documented !

If are coming from Windows and are a heavy Chrome user, Google blocks Chromium from syncing !
