OK. So it sounds like they did change it in Trixie. Not too surprising. As you can tell, I have no experience with Trixie. (But I wanted to make sure that you had already investigated the dphys-swapfile approach, and it sounds like you have).

The way it is supposed to work is that you comment the fixed-file-size line out, so that it picks the swapfile size itself (based on total RAM). Are you saying it is different in the file you edited (as compared to the dphys-swapfile file) ?What I did was edit the etc/rpi/swap.conf file, and uncomment the fixed file size to 2048
