2560x1600 @ 60Hz does bump you beyond the 148.5MHz pixel rate that is used for 1080p60, so you may need to look at HDMI2.0 devices.

HDMI 1.4 allows pixel rates of up to 340MHz. Above that HDMI2.0 kicks in, and the mode of operation on the HDMI link significantly (spread spectrum and scrambling changes, both requiring the SCDC data channel). Some devices will quote a max of 4k30 (pixel clock of 297MHz) so as to avoid that requirement.
The display in question is a TFTMD089030 with added glass cover and touch.
