What do you mean by corrupted?If "power will be cut for 99% of the time" are you providing some battery backup and controlled shutdown? If not your OS may get corrupted!
There's also the risk of data loss. Data in either the Linux write cache or the drive's internal cache will not be written to physical storage.
And the (probably small) risk of something breaking in the cell/row/block remapping that happens as part of the drive's internal wear leveling process.
