The BME is used for Altitude? To back up the GNSS devices?
You'll want to allow you box to react to pressure easily, else there's no point having it?
But yes there are newer versions now.
The 1-wire DS18B20 starts at -45C iirc, and is you use the waterproof version you could have it outside of you insulated box.
They just need another GPIO pin to be wired to. (And 3v3/GND)
If you run out of 3V3, you can tap a wire in, solder some strip board to the pins, etc.
