Hi everyone,
I'm currently working on an object detection system using a Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W, and I'm exploring ways to optimize performance.
Given the limited processing power (quad-core Cortex-A53, 512MB RAM), I understand that running deep learning models can be challenging.
I found that yolov4-tiny & yolov7-tiny could be helpful but i didn't find a good documentation to deploy the model on my pi even my pi 4 as a test
My current setup:
Board: Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W
Camera: 5 MP NoIR CAMERA
Software: Raspberry Pi OS (Bookworm)
Questions:
Has anyone successfully implemented object detection on a Pi Zero 2 W?
What lightweight object detection models work best on this board?
Are there any recommended optimizations to improve inference speed?
I'd love to hear about your experiences or any resources that could help. Thanks!
