I have a Pi3 B+ in a weather proof enclosure connected to an RTL-SDR radio receiver and sending data to FlightRadar24.
It's power chain is 240v outlet -> 12v/2A swich mode powersupply -> 12v to 5v DC-DC converter.
Current draw is ~ 330ma on the 12v side, a tad under 4 watts.
Should equate to 800mA @ 5v, obviously there will be peaks with activity.
The DC-DC converter is rated to 2A continuous with no additional cooling, 3A intermittent or continuous with additional cooling.
DC-DC converter is right at the +5v and GND pins on the I/O header to eliminate voltage drop over conductors.
Unplugging and re-plugging the device brings it back up again.
I'm wondering if there are any logs kept that i could inspect that might give a clue as to what's gone wrong.
Despite being somewhat confident of the power setup i can't rule it out either and feel i should look there.
I recall Pis have low voltage / brownout detection, is this written to a log somewhere?
Can i configure it to be written?
Help and advice appreciated... thanks.
::edit:: power figures are all incluseive of all peripherals connected and WiFi link up.
