So shorted is, and behaves like noticed.
If pin is driven up, it leaks (for each pin) between 1-2 mA to the ground through ADC_AVDD, but the output driver overcomes it.
Only with pull-up, it leaks around 0.1 mA, but the weak pull-up gets the pin just to 0.8 V.
Though, no smoke, that must be something else.
Also found a better picture:
