I was stupid enough to delete my running system with a Raspberry 3 Model B+ and a Joy-it 3.5" touchscreen. So I have to install a completely new system.
The software for the touchscreen seem not to match to Bookworm and Trixie. As far as I remember, I used Bullseye.
I found 2023-05-03-raspios-bullseye-arm64.img.xz on raspberrypi.com, but when I try to unpack it, I read a message that the file has an error.
What is wrong with it?

Probably nothing. It is probably the same now as on the last day when it was still the - then - current supported OS. Over 2 years ago.
Why do you feel the need to unpack it?
Why not just install it onto the bootable medium ready to boot your RPi3b+ board?
