I mentioned Pi Connect, but although it kinda works, it's still an inferior option, both from an ease of use standpoint for daily use and for quality of connection compared to the remote desktop application in windows. Which worked great until the switch to Wayland, which i feel forced to do because Kodi misbehaves otherwise.Pi connect is what you need, Google will find it quickly.
I'm using it as an alternative in the meanwhile, but it's also not the same as having two different sessions, one for my media center, and one for my remote desktop connection. Having two separate sessions also fits my use better.
