Oh! I also didn't grok the settling time and yep this could be a problem with the AD5346 at the higher frequencies. The AD7809 is closer. There are serial DACs that have a higher sampling rate as well, or 4 channel ones (and I can just use two). I was worried about how fast I could drive the serial DACs at 8 channels all at 32x audio rate. I'll have to dig into that more. For this application it doesn't have to be impeccably precise. Having to deal with tradeoffs and imperfection is sort of part of the charm but it shouldn't be hot garbage either.
